Bridge Day 2007: Guide to fall festival: New River Gorge Bridge, Fayetteville, West Virginia (WV)

It's the ONE TIME A YEAR when you can base jump from the world's longest free standing bridge. There's even a train that is not that expensive to ride to and from the event. They used to even have a rip cord and bungee jump too. Don't know if they will have that this year. If you prefer there are trails you can hike, bike or even ATV/motorcycle ride so you can check those out as well.

Oh and just FYI-- there are also some class 5 rapids you can go whitewater rafting too.

I'm just suggesting this to those who like this sort of thing and might also add that right now is the PERFECT time to catch the fall colors. I know a few years ago I mentioned this to Niamy and it seemed to peak his interest.

At least it will keep your mind off of EA.....

Hey I just went up there to go WW rafting for vacation, been there 3 times now. TRUST ME GUYS ITS FUN! New River Gorge is an awesome place, and the bridge is quite a view. If u guys need any info ill post =). And i live all the way down in Florida lol. I survived the level 5 rapids without unitentionally falling off once! Though I am the only one who ACTUALLY braced themselves for "Surprise". Got hit in the helmet with a T-Grip, ouch. Only me and the instructor remained in the raft lol! I had to help everyone back on too. Got tons of pics, i can post sum if u want.
