First monthly Drill
So yesterday and today was my first monthly Drill for the national gaurd. I get shipped out to basics on may 6th !!! The drill that i attended this weekend was a lot harder then i assumed it was going to be.
I got there at 8 am saturday morning stood in line for 2 hours, checked in. Went and stood in formation in the gym for 3 hours, then changed into PT(physical training) clothing. After that we my platoon of 200 people, went out to the track and ran 2 miles in 14 minutes or less or we would be doing pushups until we puked.
After running we went back inside did push ups anyways for 15 minutes, sits ups and a ton of other Physical exercises.
Day 2 someone was lying to the Srgt. and we all got in trouble for it. we ended up doing 2 hours of hard core training. from pushups to running to anything hard. after about the first 5 minutes my arms felt like a twig and i seriously thought they were going to just snap if i had to do 1 more pushup.
and here i am now on the computer because i cant move anyother part of my body besides my fingers.
lol the national guard was a lot harder then i thought, and the sad part is that i havn't even went to basic training yet!!
edit! sh!t i almost forgot! today at 3am they woke us up and made us run another 2 miles!!! wtf is with that. 2 miles is bad enough let alone 3am!
