I'm broke, unemployed, and heading to college, but I'm in for 20 maybe 30. I'll donate more later but that's all I can do right now.

But what I just noticed while reading through everyone's post, is that we are all in this together! Although some people may hate each other in game, it's amazing to see everyone working together for a common cause! And it is awesome! Good work guys... and let's keep it up. =)
|
Yes, we want to work together to keep EA up so we can get back to hating each other with the peace of mind that we can continue hating each other for as long as we want to.

Just a somewhat related question about this. About how many players do we have here in Endless Ages at the moment?

Well heres my thoughts...
I preordered for like 5 pplz then the game goes f2p.
Atm I dont even see anywhere to make a donation.
The trading post seems to be an utter mess, with items that should be quested. Basically all the items are just the old items everyone used to quest for. This is bad in my opinion. The trading post should bring something new. Player customizations being the biggest. Now it may just be my opinion but the idea behind the trading post is good but what I see as far as the actual items go at this point seems like a failure.
One thing at this point that I dont understand is that the gamestate is less than it was before. Alot of pplz have been saying theres loads of cheating going on with watever this whole speed exploiting is plus theres double shotting with this hotbar etc. Ontop of that basic housing etc isnt in yet. So im wondering if the engine was left in a mess per say when you all got it, or what.
It seems like no creativity has taken place yet. Meaning nothing as far as player viewable enhancements over the existing game has been put in place. Has IIA South been put in yet? Cause it was said it would be in during release but never made its way. While the Labrinth from what Ive been told looks great, it was constructed using DJ's previous work correct(Same as IIA S.)? So im kind of left wondering when we will see any orginal work.
Also I dropped in and happen to see a thread with new player armors mainly the BL armor, and i'm sry to say but I cant possibly see how that could attract new players(nothing against the devs I understand time was put into it etc). It just comes across looking like something that could have been put together in less than 2 hours.
My last comment is my own personal problem that of running linux. At this point I have no intention of using windows so I'm pretty much outa luck with playing the game.
Anyways best of luck, dont take my comments the wrong way there not a flame, just an opinion of how things are percieved from a player standpoint.

Rolled..
1. Buy tokens, that *is* a donation. Even if you dont use them
2. They haved rolled back a lot of things to a state gloser to old gold. That in itself takes a while and is a change.
3. I think that if you have the level for it that you should be able to buy costom armor and weapons form the trading post. this is a PVP game *with* questing. Not a questing game *with* pvp. Or at least they are ballanced. The game has to make money, its fun to play so what if someone bought something you cant. a LOT of players buy things then sell them in game for gold.
4. 2 or 3 people working out all the bugs and getting the game back to gold do not have the time to also create loads of new content *yet*. Plus they are adding aittle here and a little there. Also the old team may have made the stuff but they never actually used it did they.
5. I saw the new Blobic armor in person in game and its Awesome. imo you are just looking for reasons to have an attitude.
6. Linux sux rocks. M$ is irritating but Linux sucks rocks for a user pc.
7. You post simply had no business being made in this thread.... *sigh*...

lets see, a new wine (wine is not an emulator) will be compatible with more direct x stuff, my friend was able to play age of empires, and I will say wine is making strides.
The newest update will add more compatibility, hopefully the ability to play EA. I am actually annoying my friend who uses linux in the extreme to try to get EA to work, and if he ever does he will post a full guide..... so don't stop visiting Rolled.

Donating is my biggest concern.. I can get 10 dollars a month or w/e. Its a small amount but will help some I'm sure. The problem is that I really can't donate. I don't have paypal or a credit card or any of that so I'm basicly out of luck. Activation card type things for XBox live can be boughten with cash at Wal-Mart or w/e. If we had those type of things I would donate. + It would also be good advertiser but probebly hard to get and most likly wont happen. This game is going to have to get worse before it gets better looking at its current state. Donate like hell and do everything you can to help it get better. This game isnt like gold because it CANT be made like gold because they are having problems with the payments. F2P is great and would be the best to get new people in and the best for everyone. I like F2P because you can still play without paying if your a kid or a person unsure of the game. But you can also buy stuff once you are comfortable with the game. Adding gold to the TP is probebly best for the game right now. I think now that I would rather have high prices (Personally I dont buy too much ingame) and a stable server and stuff than a server that almost has to shut down. As I said before. It will get worse before it gets better. If the prices are 100mill for an orb I think we can all deal with hunting for it and keeping that stable server and stuff. We can always get the prices back down if you hunt for an item, sell it to a person, and destroy the money you got. That will eventually return the econemy to a stable state.

Rolled made a long post about a game he doesn't play.
You can now conclude he either is trolling, or he has a genuine concern for this game. It's pretty clear to anyone who isn't blinded by their arrogance (and or fanboy-ness) that he does in fact care about this game. Cut the guy some slack.
I think it's kind of funny how more people are thinking P2P might not be a good idea. Me? I see deja vu all over this.

I would like to say a quick word to all the administration and staff: Thank-you. I started playing Endless Ages around six years ago to shortly coming back (yesterday) to it, and I hope everything works out for the best. I have also been reading briefly around the forums and also wanted to personaly thank DME Games for ressurecting Endless Ages. Where did the previous staff go? I don't know a whole lot but I remember two fellows named, Mister and Avaria. Are they still around or did they sell the rights to EA? Anywho, thanks again for keeping Endless Ages alive and I hope other members and myself can keep Endless Ages alive.
