New EA Installer - Endless Ages

I now bring you, with 100% less virus, a new game installer.
EASetup2.0.exe - FileFront.com

Should be completely up to date with patches, work out of the box with no need to manually type a directory and no missing \ to boot.

This creates an incorrect uninstall path in the registry. It sets the uninstall path at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion> Uninstall > Play Endless Ages

to C:\Program Files\Endless Ages\ENDLESSUninstall.exe, when it should be C:\Program Files\Endless Ages\uninstall.exe.

For those of you who preferred the old smaller green load bar at the bottom right corner, simply copy and paste your old "meter.cfg" file into the new folder. I personally prefer the blue at the center though =)

Thats a bit strange, the game uninstalls fine in all cases i've tried. I'll try to see about ther errenous entry. Are you sure that is not from a previous installer? Not exactly a big deal though, doesn't stop the installer from working.

edit
Upon further review that entry is created by endless.exe when you manually enter a directory in the field. It isn't created if you use only this installer because that field is never asked for because the installer creates it automatically. If you remove that registry entry it won't come back blegh.

quick question, for the 1.0 installer we had to install it to the default location (C:\EndlessAgesR\) i believe, but for the new 2.0 installer, it doesnt install to that location it shows (C:\Program Files\Endless Ages\). Should i just go ahead and install it into that location or does it need to be in the original 1.0 installed folder (C:\EndlessAgesR\)??

I completely deleted the old game and all it's contents before I re-installed. That may be the best idea.

So if I understand correctly, this is just an updated installer with all the current patches. So if the game already works fine, we don't need to download it, I hope.

I really do not want to download 400MB right now, cause it takes a long, long time

You don't need to download it if you have it. You can install it anywhere you please, it will work either way.

I have the game correctly installed but when i start it i cant find any servers/worlds so when i start playing it says can't fin server/world and lagg

Nozei, did you turn off your firewalls before starting up patcher, I believe this is still a problem but havent gotten new one installed yet.
Edit: Also no need to DL any extra files just install, turn off firewalls (And Norton) and away you go (asuming you have an account)

Completely off topic, but you must first finish your Inceptor License quest before you can work on your Advanced Inceptor License. If you have already done so, talk to Samuan - Advanced Inceptor Instructor, a BL in a bunker outside of the Black Market.

I'll try to get some new mirrors up. I had one from chaos, but it seems to be down. I also uploaded a new v2 setup that does not include some unused maps(boomtowns). I haven't tested it yet though, so download at your own risk. =p You can find a list of my uploads at EATelos Profile, EATelos Details - FileFront.com, but everything other than EASetup2.0 is still in testing.

Hey guys i just literally stumbled back on this game i haven't played since there was a little island that u were on with a floating pirate ship thats all i can remember at least... well im just posting this to say hey and that im glad to be bak after aa while of not playing

2 things I can think of atm is.

1. did you install the patch posted above by telos?
2. Do you have your firewall down? (if any firewall)
