Latest news and progress!
Hey folks,
As promised, we are keeping you guys in the loop as much as possible. The latest discussions have cleared up some questions that I know some of you have had as well as brought more questions into the picture.
Basically, *******, whom we are working with and licensing EA from have managed to free up some time earlier then expected and should be able to start development on the new Engine and EA build by the middle of this month! This means we get a release sooner then before. However, it seems during some miscommunication, dates and times of "release" were mixed up and just all together incorrect. We were under the impression that we'd at least have some kind of beta release by mid January.
We are now being told that we should be looking for a release sometime mid march, but we are not 100% sure on this date as of yet. I intend to update you guys more today after I speak with *******. I am hoping, as I'm sure you guys are, that this new date is incorrect and that we can still look forward to a mid January launch of some kind. Cross your fingers
On a final note, we want to clear something else up about the "version" of Endless Ages we are licensing. The version we are licensing is a combination of the "Phylon" build of the Engine, but with everything we had in the "Gold" version of Endless Ages. This basically breaks down into that we will have a much better running server and client setup as well as all the wonderful tools that make it easy as pie to make new updates, quests, npc's and even items. We will still be using the old graphics from the "Gold" version of the game, but we also have the features of the new Engine in the way that we can at any time improve upon those gold models (just make them look better, not completely redo them like in the past) and the client will handle the new textures and meshes with ease.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to ensure they get answered.
Thank you again to all who is supporting us and our efforts to bring back Endless Ages.

sounds great though, never really played phylon but the little time i did look at things it seemed to run pretty good but i have never really been a good judge of that sort of thing.

Hopefully, my computer will be able to handle the Phylon engine build...

I think she doesn't want to play in Gold is all. Anyway she wasn't sure she was going to play regardless of which version. She's too busy anyway.
The think about deleting her account is little much though.

Now that's what I like to hear. Thanks Jason.
Oh...I'm curious. Since it's going to be using a modified phylon engine but with the old graphics what kind of specs do you think are required to play? That kind of stuff always confused me.

lol ok, they are using the phylon engine, keeping the old grapgics... updating the textures, which isnt keeping the old graphics, and changing the models. Ok, well sounds like it'll be ok, as long as its EA, and contains all the same features im ok =). And the phylon engine is easier for the DV's to work with which means that bugs wont last as long, there will be frequent updates, and such. Well, sounds great... I guess =D! Cant wait!!!!

I considered that as well but I know she's raising a family and just can't make the time to play like she used to.
Also I think she might be worried that all the hacks and bugs from Gold will be back, which is not certain at all. She really didn't like people being able to get around rules and she especially didn't like the way her bosses (when she was a GM) looked the other way and didn't enforce the rules and even played favorites with certain players. I had a problem with that myself so I think I understand how she might be feeling.
I hope she changes her mind or at least drops in to say howdy once in a while

Indeed, realistically it was never going to become avaliable only a few weeks after the initial negotiations!

She's taking things way to seriously, it's a game, if you don't like the way things are being done then don't play, which she intends to do, so fine. Point is, we all have our doubts and fears, we just don't create such a scene out of it. Sorry Oogie if you're reading this, you're probably a nice person, but chillax.
