Weapon Tech Circumstances - Endless Ages

I'm curious... what are the circumstances of Weapon Tech Leveling?
Such as:

Does it matter what you shoot at, or does it still level up at the same rate no matter what you shoot at? Meaning, if I shoot a flob, will weapon tech still level up at the same rate as when I shoot a glondon?

Does a splash damage gun raise weapon tech at a slower rate than a direct one-mob-only gun? If so, are there any circumstances that make splash damage worth leveling weapon tech with?

etc etc etc.

Use the fastest and lowest level gun on the highest level monster for maximum leveling rate.

Yep. Fastest refire rate and lowest level gun, on a high level creature, will level your weapon tech fastest. Basically exactly what solodynasty said.

Till about lvl 16.40. Then no matter what is slows to a snailes pace!

Lvling is going to be a big pain in the ass till they give us some thing decent to lvl on..

Destroyer is good but there is only one of him and 10 people lvling on the same creature at once will slow your exp drasticly..

Are you sure about the "lowest level possible" part ?
Cause i'm pretty sure that's what people usually tell newbies to make them use their acid gun or genshock (which are the fastest early on), but i think you just need the fastest firing gun, period.

So for humans, physus rifle (faster than acid gun), or for blobs, pulse mortar / pulse master, should level WT faster.

I haven't tested that lately, but i think i remember 10 hits with any weapon give the same amount of WT. So you should just use the fastest gun you can (the ammo cost may kinda "force" you to use the lv1 anyway ;-D).

physus and pulse master also req higher stats so you gain str/dex/wis faster too

Considering I just woke up no I don't really but I will get back to you on that :P

One suggestion for now...

Fix Rune Boss hit box or what ever keeps them from hitting people in certin places (this will cut down big time on AFK lvling). Then raise the EXP rates so we gain faster, this I think will keep us happy while insureing you that there isn't people AFK lvling.

I am sure I can think up a better idea I just need to wake up first.
