I went over asgon plants, and used the macro system to pick up an asgon plant every 6 seconds along with clicking on "Amberlaz Charges" ... it kept saying "failed attempt" over and over, but I just left it for about 5 hours... came back, hadn't leveled my alchemy even a tiny bit... I scrolled up and it was CONSTANT failed attempts... I'm level 8 alchemy, so is it glitched?

make something of lower level, then once your lvl 9 try amberlaz again

Anything in this game is best down when your 1 level higher except armor and weapons.
