Curious, I've not only heard of a portal back to newbiezone... but I've actually created new characters and seen these really high level characters in the newbiezone... and they're not GMs!

So I'm curious, where would I find the portal back to newbie zone?

Well, there is one on the bottom floor of the Blobic Colonies lobby, and near the bunker out on UOC Penn which is the penninsula near Trendor that is inbetween Trendor and AP island but beware that when you come back out of newbie zone it resets your rebirth so if your think your RBed in Firetown guess again.
Also you get 3 or so annoying quests in your journal. Good luck. :P

Well I'm bloblic and I left the newbie zone and I'm searching the bloblic colonies(that's just as you leave newbie zone, right?) and I'm in the lobby at the bottom floor... but I can't seem to find any "portal" or anything that might lead back to newbiezone.

The portal in BC has been removed.. Try looking for the one at the north side of UoC.

From the Bloblic Colonies, go north along the bridge,and follow the west coast until you reach the human city. Keep going along the west coast until you reach a cave entrance. From the cave entrance, go southeast. You should see it.

ok, I'm at the city... but on this map Map of IIA I see SIA and Boom Town Portal... should I be following the west coast of SIA, or the west coast of Boom Town Portal?

ok, I found a cave on NW coast of the "boom town portal" area of the map... I went SE from entrance until I hit water again... was I supposed to go in the cave?

Edit: although I did find something called "Lesson 1" ... what's that?
Also a giant grey creature with bits of red called Argos o.O
