Trading Post
Same old items have been in there for awhile... I think there needs to be an update, add some new things. Dont have to be anything serious, just things that people will buy and enjoy... Hell it can be ANYTHING but i nkow im not buying anything because ive bought what i want and there is nothing in there that i want to buy now... Soooo if you want to make money, try updating the trading post a little more often...

I agree with SKA, sure it will bring in money but everything will totally unbalance and make the rest of the game pointless. Say you have played the game for a month and feel comfortable with pay and you go buy the new stuff... Now everything else below it will be pointless. Those items should accually be worked for so when you have the best armor you are accually respected for your skill in the game not for how much money you or a friend has.

I don't think it matters if he is drunk or not at the moment, he makes a good argument. I am sure pleanty of players would be furious if they did that. But guys, the game needs to get money somehow, and why not put the most wanted and valuable items on the trading post. Thats the way they will get the most money.
So i'm gonna agree with Kill, if the trading post is going to stay for a while, new items will need to be added.
When the game gets more advertising and more players to join EA, i think looking at other options (pay to play) is a good idea, but for now, I think the trading post is going to have to work and new items should be added...

i also agree..and think that making a quest for it in game and making the starting item buyable in the TP is the way it should be.

I agree that TP needs new items. There are posts with plenty of suggestions and discussions. However, those things need to be developed and it appears that the developers are working on bugs/other issues atm.
I like the idea of having to buy an item from TP to be able to begin or finish a quest. I and others have suggested this before. You still need to have a certain crest, badge or gidion to begin it, and you still have to complete a quest for it. But, you also have to spend some cash.
Non-drop JP3 probably exists because it was in the game before. This should be the first item that you have to quest and pay for. Plus you need pilot skill to use. The price should be reasonable but don't give it away. $100 bucks ($50 now) for the Razor was too high. I only bought one after I applied my original yearly membership to credits. I'd pay $25 for a nd jp3 and do a quest.

I never said to not make the good items go in the Trading Post..
Its called buying the quest item to start it RATHER then the armor it self.. cause buying the armor it self makes as i said this game pointless to get the other stuff ingame. which is why they need a quest item.. saying you need maybe full 15 to start or something.

Ok, How about adding some GM armor, GM guns, GM stats crests and GM jet packs? But not just any GM gun, its gotta be the Qudati that hits for 30k damage...It shoots slow so it wont be that broken....Ok????

Can you say "upgrades"?
Best way to do this is as sirkill implied. You need the crest, the armor, and the skill for it. Say, you have level 15 armor, level 9 crest, and level 16 WP and you pay 20 credits for a quest to upgrade it so it's a +1 armor or something. It takes skill/time to do the quest, you need previous armor so getting items in the game for free is not wasted, EA gets it's money, and everybody is happy.....well except for the noobs that complain the armor is too overpowered but there will always be those types.
This issue, as I have seen, has been REPEATED OVER AND OVER and it always ends up being to pay money for a quest instead of just handing it out. I think the issue should be closed and just leave it as quests for upgrades.

I joked around about a kidion familiar a few times earlier. Nice coincidence. Hope I'll be able to buy one from the auction eventually....
By the way, the kidion and malia bats seem too common, as they're above HC, AP Island, 4F, etc. and are used for a few quests. How about you make the Si bat a familiar instead? The only place I've seen one is near BM and MR. It would make a nice variation to what you would usually see in the skies.

I don't think there has ever been a bat familiar in the game, ever, so making one might take some time. The controls have to be set up if it's going to control like a crid or razor. That would be difficult since you would still be in an un-SSed form, so maybe the usual aiming controls are better. The bat itself has to be aligned with the player, and with the animation that happens when a bat hovers, they have to be sure not to leave the player floating in mid air behind the bat, or just make sure it doesn't hover upright. Once again, I'm hoping it's a Si bat rather than a Kidion. Kidions are too common compared to the Si, and a bright orange bat in the sky is a great way to show off lol.
