Territory
Once groups murder, system, houses, and maps are in place, there could be territory wars. It would take place in a separate (teleported there, can't go by foot like Trendor and 4F) land where there are bunkers, buildable outposts, teleporter travelers, etc..
Basically, you have this huge terrain where clans go in and try to control specific properties. In order to do this, you have to plant a clan flag. The flag is pretty big, and has a certain amount of HP to it. If an enemy destroys the flag, you have to replant it. Smiths can make and repair flags. The duration is half an hour. After that, you can plant outposts that are in a building phase. After outposts, there are houses, then a city. In the end, clans can have store NPC's that sell items at a reduced rate, clan vault, etc.. There are different levels of territories. Different levels of buildings can only be built if the territory is big enough around. Opposing clans will have to try to destroy whatever other clans have built, which could reduce the number of NPC's in the territory. As clans take territory in outpost, players can have a teleporter NPC to teleport to the area for quick reinforcement. Territories do not come without defenses, however.
One can hire mercenaries or train mobs to defend the areas. Mercenaries come with basic armor and wapons, if you want to advance them you can make specific armor and weapons for them (So instead of PKing someone, you can actually use the armor and guns you take instead of vendoring them). To train mobs, one would use the summoning skill (as is being discussed currently to replace the familiar skill) and have to acquire special reagents and items mobs drop. You can then summon mobs to defend your area for you.
Buildings, mercs, and mobs would require special items from all the trade skills. Engineers and smiths would have building material and alchemists would have summoning material. Only the head of the clan and selected clan individuals would be allowed access to donated items to strategically use them as building material and defenses. You can't do all this stuff alone, of course, and would take a group effort.
I didn't go into too much detail, basically lots of generalization to see if this is a good idea or a bad once. I don't now if EA was ever the type of game to have territory wars, but meh I'm just throwing it out there.
