Heres my suggestion, just because lately I've been doing a lot of this for other games.

Add in a way for people to customize weapon and armor textures in a folder, so they can have weapons look just the way they want them to. I know I wanted to change the texture of the first gun I got as soon as I equipped it. Of course, the changes would only affect the person that has the files, but the files themselves could possibly be posted and/or traded on the forums.

I understand what you're thinking of, but as far as I know, aimbots don't work by color recognition. I understood the whole "make each race a bright color" problem before I posted.

In that case, make it so only weapons can be modified then.

or lol, i love this idea.
change the actual weapon wireframe into the shape of a pie, then color it into a nice, delicious chocolate cream pie YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of a small camouflaged frog you got this square of red... just like Kane said, people would do this. Maybe not for aim bots, but they would do it to see people easier... an advantage in PvP. People do this in counter-strike and other games. In one MMORPG I used to play they would change footsteps to red so you can see them easier, a clear advantage over a white small puff of smoke. Small changes like that is a no-no, because this is a highly twitched based game, and I believe everyone should have a fair equal chance. Don't you?

yep customization like that is exactly why it will never happen, I would mind seeing ingame ways to customize your armor though, maybe like change the color scheme or something along those lines, or add spikes like back in gold, wish those armor models were redone to fit the new avatars and put back in, to replace the rather dull looking armors we currently have.
