Opposing Factions
Pvp is an important part of MMOs nowadays, and especially as an mmofps, pvp, is a must.
now there's already organized pvp battles in the Arena and i believe in unprotected areas one can attack others unprovoked...
with just about every popular mmo nowadays there's 2 or more factions, WoW has alliance and horde, Anarchy has the Clans and Omnitech, Ace online (the only other mmo somewhat considered a free mmofps) has BCU and ANI... Anyway my point is that we need something like that in EA, having towns belonged to a certain faction, the immediate areas around the towns will also be considered areas of that faction, anyone from the opposing faction in that area will of course be a target for all other players from the faction owning that town. So basically me and a friend feel like some heavy pvp so we try to infiltrate an enemy town and see how far we can go, how many enemy players we can take down before they get us. It would add alot of depth to the pvp system and the game.
Now important notes about this however:
1. classes are NOT the factions.. humans outnumber everything else so it just wont work very well..
2. make it so players can choose a side at perhaps level 12...
3. these bases/towns must not be nooby areas, they must be somewhere separate so that noobs dont complain that they are always getting pkd in their town.
4. it might be a good idea to have a big island dedicated to this pvp, and multiple towns that can be taken over by each faction, with npcs that will shoot at players of whichever faction DOESNT own the town
