I say ISP firewall because right now with the amount of players we have about 5 or 6 of them have the problem. Thats about 1 in 8 people... That means out of the 2000 that EA wants to have *sooner than later* thats 250 people who wwill have to update manually, and lets face it, even tho jason tries hard, the patches arnt up 2 date. I have to wait at least 24 hours sometimes, other times they are up right when the server is back, but We all know jason is to busy to be posting manual patches. If jason or some1 around could make a way to fix the problem, that would help all those people a lot!
The login screen updates fine, and one thing I know about WoW is it works with my intenrnet. But... they have it update within the login screen, not the actaul game itself. Sooo, if you guys could have a file check and downloader on the login screen, liek WoW has, then that might fix it. becasue like i said, sometimes the login screen with EA has updates and they update... But in game updates with loading screen dosent work...

Its not my firewall, its the isp firewall. Its a firewall i cant disable, a firewall my internent *WONT* disable... So its impossible for me to fix it, but possible for them to fix it...

Spirit: I still somehow doubt that the problem is your ISP... Which ISP are you using? If it is an ISP firewall problem, everyone who uses your ISP would not be able to play. And if it was, could you not call them and ask them to disable this feature for you?
I still think there is some other reason for your problem... Have you tried all the tips mentioned in the other threads?

The ISP firewall problem is the main problem above even having the sever online..
Kind of hard to have a user base with out any users.
I am not going to play till the ISP bs is takn care of, I really hate having to go all the way downstairs to reset my modem and then zone through all the maps, then plug every thing back into the router and go all the way downstairs again to reset the modem every time the server is updated.. No game is worth that. I have been finding more useful things to do with life any way :P

To me 1st would be weapons and armor quests. Second would be Lighting. The maps are fine.

Belgh, im a 100% sure that its isp problems.. I use hughesnet, my friend with it had the same problem, and it would download with dial up just fine when i had dial up and sattilite and tried it. I was talking to tech about it before, but then for some reason it all of a sudden said *dissconnected from hughesnet*, i was on tech chat.
Soo, maybe i can talk them into opening it for all hughesnet if they see it is safe...

fixing up any obstacles that prevent new players from joining this community should be #1 across the board.
2nd, lightning which is already being worked on.
3rd, stability/tweaking (AI, fixing up UW)
this should be universal, priorities first.

okay, i hope everyone finds this question very easy. without a stable server, you cant have the rest of those options, so if something else gets chosen and i hear one complaint about a ci, i swear.

I would definitely have to agree with this. Acquiring new players is a much higher priority than having more weapons, quests, etc., all of which can be added or fixed later. Having a stable server is no use without any players. Although I agree that the lighting issue is quite annoying, it's bearable. Not to mention, it's being worked on.

ISP, hands down. Anything to help the people. I Can survive without the rest of stuff broken. A few people who get to play is a mile higher than a silly problem like lights.
