Last idea

Well most of my ideas just don't fit into this game so i decided ill keep them to myself from now on. However i had one last idea that ill post here.

So far the only vehicle worth having is one you have to pay for.

I think it would be nice if there was a vehicle that was useful and was worth the quest time.
so this is what i came up with.

Name- Drone Tank
Channel- Death
Quest description- The Tank would be hidden in the catas or LOD in a chest that would require a key from a quest. This quest would involve high lvl mobs and tasks.
Vehicle description- Hovers about 5-10ft off the ground. the circular shield that surrounds the center can fire death channel shots to a wide range of targets.
Speed- maximum=500mph
power-maximum hit points=295

I also made different models for different channels of damage but didnt think it would matter if i posted them or not.
If you want the 3D model i made of it just PM me.

make the file accessable so ppl can see it when they dl it not many have autodesk or the ability to open a 3ds file.

here is a simple one to use WPF-Graphics - Viewer3ds is a free 3ds file viewer and xaml exporter

Heres the updated specs by your suggestions

i know but all i can really do is come up with ideas im no good at 3D modeling.
Also when i made it it looked A LOT better but the program for veiwing the files sucks ill upload the latest mesh file and you can look at it. If you still think it sucks then ill just keep workin on it from scratch.

What do you mean? Can't you just use Windows form of a screen shot with Print Screen, paste it into paint, make it a JPEG, then throw it up on a picture hosting site?

No offense,but that thing still looks really ugly. Instead of having the tube go through the sphere object, just let it protrude from it. Have the sphere object touch the back of the ring. Separate the the ring from the edge of the rod. Put a base 3-pronged structure on the bottom of it. Here is a crappy MS paint fo what I mean (the base should be bigger):

I was thinking of sharp edges instead of round ones, but it kinda looks like arms holding the tube so it looks cool. If you don't want the legs that's fine, if you add a glow effect to the bottom (a neon color) to make it look like it's hovering I think you'd really be on to something there . Also, can't you use a white backround? The red is visually unappealing and it's hard to see the tank well.

Looking better, but needs alot of work still. The cannon doesnt seen realistic somehow. The cockpit should have a slider shield thats somewhat translucent like the polycycle. Needs to be some sort of vents along the bottom that emit a glow for the hover effect.

Indeed, add little spikes to the orbs near the barrel to "grip" the barrel. The backside of it needs a vent like the poly, maybe that glows a light blue instead of orange. The sides of the barrel need glowing lines that have bright "beads" traveling down or up the barrel giving it a "railgun effect".

Also: Make a 2 seater version? Jason did mention possibly putting multi passenger vehicles in. If there is a quest for this it needs to be long. The vehicle should be slower than the polycycle because of all that added firepower. The resistances need to be toned down to about 85 N, 80 W, 80 F, 85 E, 85 A, 70 Rel, 70 Rune, 70 Death. High Death protect = Too much. Maybe bump up the resistance with an overshield bought from the TP (like 5-10% added resist).

Just my suggestions. Keep it up and it will look pwnsauce in no time.

EDIT: Ok the quest needs to be kinda the same format as Poly quest. U dont get the whole thing from one chest in the catas. U need to get alot of different "larger" parts. Like 5-7 then assemble them (maybe a smith and engy can help do this). BUT NONE OF THE GAY "You need to do the poly quest 4 times to get 12 titanium sheets" crap. Make chests for smaller components located in either (catas, Jouster maze, CoA, 14, or 15). But not too many chests. If the quest gets redundant it will be too easy. Some tough mob spawns should be in the quest as well. Cooperation from mid level trade skill specialists should be necessary (New alchy, smithy, engy parts). Depending on how long the vehicle will take you could possibly venture to IIA south for part of the quest. Sorry if im lecturing feel free to Pm me if you need help.

Not bad man, now add in those other things. Um make sure the guy in the back can use his gun though, there needs to be a chair mounted in that pod. Also, design tip: person in back pod cannot rotate to be able to hit any part of the vehicle.

Two rectangular vertical boxlike things on the back on either side of the 2nd seat would be good for vent locations.

I might be able to help out with this design somewhat but I just need a bit of info. In the last post that has pictures attached to it I need a bit of an explanation. First, what is the sphere with the tube coming out of it suppose to be? Is it the cannon and cockpit or is the sphere part of the cannon? I see the clear sphere behind and am guessing that it is the second "seat" for having a passenger. Are the spots on the first sphere just for decoration or are they suppose to be something in particular. Also I'm guessing that where the cannon is, that's the front of the vehicle?

Sorry if I'm just not understanding the model but I am trying and willing to help with the design.
