Lightbulb Idea to bring in more money for EA

Hey all, haven't been on in ages, hope nothin gone wrong while I was gone ^.^.

Got this idea from ijji.com for bringing in more income.

See ijji has G coins which you buy with RL $ and such... but you don't have to spend any money at all if you (the player) don't mind putting some time and effort into filling out these surveys then they'll give you LITTLE bit of g coins on the side as thanks. See the surveys are done by another company that pays ijji for the help. Anybody get any ideas as to want I'm getting at yet?

So, if DME can find a company like peanut labs (the company that does ijji's surveys) and can get said company to pay them for the surveys, then DME can do what ijji does and offer like a token for every survey or so done to get players to fill them out. If the company offers like say "DME gets $$ for every ## surveys done" then DME can do something like up the number of token you get per survey to help then cover some costs if biz is down.

Hope the idea helps... and if someone else already brought this idea up then sorry I didn't know and I already check to see if it was.

I've suggested this before.
But I think we would need a larger player base first.

lol feel better that I wasn't the only that thought of this.
hmmm.... yea the player base is indeed quite small. ahh... well I guess we'll have to come with an idea to solve that problem then, yea?

.... Maybe make a myspace or something for EA or DME?

Also been discussed before. What we need to do is write reviews for various sites and spread the word. Maybe someone who can record good video needs to make a good youtube video displaying all the elements of EA we know and love.

I am a respected admin and newswriter for lanthrax.com, a maltese gaming community website, i intend to write a review, and make a video review of this for the site, but not until i've explred every single aspect of the game, currently i just need to level up a little more and get a hands on with the pvp, then i will review the game.

I hope it's a decent review, bad reviews are bad for games that still need some fixing.

it will be a fair review, i'm not going to suger coat it and say its a flawless game. it is flawed, but if one can look past those flaws they are in for a great time.. and thats basically what the review will say
currently these are the points i intend to mention:

good:
* controls work, and are very smooth
* Quests are far more interesting then typical korean free mmo variations of "collect 10 rats tails"
* lot of variation in characters with the different skills, combat and tradeskill alike.
* wonderful and extremely helpful admins
* (assumed, must confirm when i am able) PvP is mostly all FPS, dodging and aiming, all skill with stats making a smaller part of the outcome then in most mmos.

bad:
* more variation in guns would be nice (only 2 types really.. insta-hit beam, and projectile)
* altough FPS,at lower levels the PvE combat often gets frustrating and feels less skill based then it should
* grinding a skill at the higher levels can be painful (altough this is true to almost all mmos)
* lack of organized pvp is a letdown

not sure how you would want more variations in the guns?
Projectile like straight forward shooting is what you meant i guess? Because we've got guns that shoot bouncing balls, bombs that detonate on impact (with and without arcing trajectory) We've got melee weapons that extend a bit of the device untill the end of the "chain" is reached and it goes back in..
There are probally more types of guns/weapons like this soooo

* altough FPS,at lower levels the PvE combat often gets frustrating and feels less skill based then it should.
less skill based than it should? does this mean you're getting *****ed left and right ? or does this mean you've been standing still?
Because,.. while having a newbie char i found myself getting owned by quite allot of auto agroing mobs when walking around in a purple haze like i do so good... but ey I'm a n00blet ofcourse

*grinding skill - totally agree

* lack of organized pvp is a letdown, lack of organized PVP is an direct result of the general lack of players,..
Back in the good ol days,.. we'd be on teamspeak with like 10 ppl,.. and pvping another clan with atleast equal amount of players.. that's when organized PVP kicks in imo,...
But if it's about the arena being broken,.. then yeah that sucks

well my opinion on the guns might change, as i have yet to use them all, but it would be nice to have something along the lines of a shotgun for example, or a rapidfire gun (maybe shoots in bursts, and only gives xp per burst rather then per hit.. so it doesnt overdo the xp)

Well what i mean by the combat can be frustrating at lower levels..well basically at the low levels almost everything one shots you, and thats annoying.. not to menion no matter how much you dodge, they still seem to get dead on hits.. and sometimes i'd be flying in the air.. i'd see a shot physically hit me, and i wont take damage. but then i'll see a shot hit a tree, and i'd die!

But anyway.. the conclusions i have come to now are not final, and thats why i'm not writing the review yet, i want to make sure that everything i say is true, if i'm mistaken at this point, i will learn as i play along. but i saw someone else wrote a review a while back after playing hte game for 2 days.. it did nothing but praise the game.. and well.. you cant learn enough in 2 days.. i thought it was a crap review....

Yea, the mobs' perfect aim can get old. Either they're too good at aiming, dodging is useless, and then we prefer to shoot from behind a rock or something, or they're aim is too monotonous, and we shoot from behind a rock, or strafe mindlessly.
Maybe recoil would do some good?
