ok...let me firstly stat that i dont care wat anybody thinks about me and i speak my mind.
that comment goes out to everyone that says i have a bad attitude..just wanted to say that

aight...ever since the server has come back online i've noticed a decrease in the amount of players that have come back to the game. There are not as many regular players that know the game well online, and the newbs that come to the game have no one to talk to or ask questions on how to do a certain quest or just ask general questions about the game, inturn the newbs do not come back becuz they cant get any help with anything becuz there's no one on to answer their questions and then the game gets a bad rap...i myself am a regular player and i am one of the players that trys to answer their questions as best i can and i do care wat happens with the game and i'll stick with this game as long as its online and i have access to it. but at the rate its going the game will not be on for much longer if the players have no interest in the game anymore. player base i believe is a key ingredient for any game to have success in the gaming world. No players..no money..no more game is how i look at it. but i dont think that the server can hold a really big player base.. b4 server went down i left my toon in four falls. when the server came back on and no one was in four falls the game was looking perfect...no lag..no CIs or anything...i zoned in and out quite a few times and it was running perfect

...but then a day later...only like 4 ppl were in four falls macroing and such..and i zone in and i can barely move or look around becuz of all the lag...idk..it may just be my pc..it may be that i'm seein stuff..but i def had a lag..OK..off topic...my main concern is about the player base and the survival of the game. again...no players..no money..no game...any opinions? lol anyone wanna add to this?..anyone wanna go against me?...go right ahead i would love to hear more events or concerns or anything that is related to this issue...that's why the post is here

We are in a catch-22 situation at the moment unfortunately. The game is (unfortunately) a little bit faulty. To fix this, we need money, and to get money, we need players. The problem is that not many players want to join a faulty game, let alone pay for one. The lack of players then causes newbsto feel lost and leave, and other player to leave. I guess until EA is fixed and enhanced, we won't be able to have many more new players. And unless current player do join and socialize with others, some probably will leave.

So in brief:
Please be online as much as possible, as this will attract more people and make the game more fun while the devs are doing all they can to improve this game

And for the record, I'm sorry I've not been around more. I've been adjusting to getting my kids into school and stuff. I'll try to remedy being on more -- and in normal character to help the players more.

yeah the lack of players is a real downer, i can barely bring myself to log in most of the time now, since 90% of the time i tend to be the only person who is actually actively playing, everyone else is afk. Though sometimes i get lucky and 1 or 2 others are there, really there are no real vets logging in, except maybe rystic and sometimes i will see a ZT member or 2. It has gotten so that there is no point in me hunting anything since there is nobody to buy the extras i get of armor drops and the like, I have actually just started pawning the stuff off on anyone i can find lol.

We need more money (to fix game, enhance it) to get more players..."

Something must be done, regardless of player counts, and regardless of money.

ive been a LONG time fan of this game ever since i baught it on cd lol but i think what they need to do is just shut down the servers (so they wont need money), shut down the game for awhile, and i mean AWHILE, and just work on getting all the bugs out of it so its not so faulty. THEN re-release it AGAIN when its not so faulty and everything seems to be working fine, you know? anyone agree with me on this one?

I think this EA was released a little earlier than intended. I started a few days after that, so I can't give the details...

Maybe something temporary to help with the training situation. Make a mob give, let's say, 1.5 times the xp that Destroyer gives, or maybe 2x if it's hard enough, and use a mob that tends to hit a lot, and which won't be able to be exploited. Maybe mad kidions or Zeth (now that I mention it, can we possibly get a list of the mobs and their levels? How much higher than Destroyer is Zeth at the moment?). So the fastest way to train isn't reading a book by the computer while a macro shoots destroyer, but rather some strafing and aiming. I've been getting so bored of killing destroyer that I don't care to put effort against pkers there anymore. If some random level 12 newb came and killed me while I was there, I might go back once or twice and have a little fun with it (not even carrying ammo or pots lol), and then log off and do something else.

Also, more people seem to be having technical problems with getting EA running after the patch. That might explain it.

aight..you just posted off topic..the issue is player base and wat can be done to the game to bring the players back..your post means nothing here becuz if no one is on to lvl..then why make the mobs give more exp?!?...the issue is player base as ive stated b4...and wat many other ppl have stated above you. so making the mobs give more exp when no one is on to lvl..is POINTLESS.

i dunno I'm around i've just been in an EA rut, dealing with other responsibilities and whatnot. I leave my character in game to level and when i get in the mood, I'll play. I'm pretty sure I won't be leaving as long as the games up

they're doing something right, in that my computers on all day and night running their program, but somethings missing and I aint no revolutionary.

P.S. this games still good when you're high, just spin around then get lost in the petrified forest for a while

The point of the xp change is to try to get more players to play more instead of logging on, talking a little, and going afk or semi afk training.

xp change will just get you to the point where you have nothing to do quicker

the good thing to do when you're done is to start a new char, keeps things relatively fresh, and since you already got a bruiser may as well take your time leveling the new one up

lol ok sumdude..idk if you get it but if no one is on then they wont lvl becuz THEY ARENT PLAYING...why would ppl that arnt playing come back to the game just to lvl? yea it would help if your trying to get stats or exp for a gun such as the death gun becuz yea its boring..but if no new players are coming to the game to lvl and play the game then making the mobs give good exp would be pointless..but yeas it would be a plus for the already playing ppl

You know i rarely hunt anything unless i am by myself, but other than hunting I like to have people to bs with while im on, like while im shooting des for 2hr to gain wt I want to have someone to bs with, but as it stands now, no one is really on and noobs arent big on just shooting the **** with another player they just ask question after question and then ask if i can show them where something is, though cant blame them as noobs in a game where everything can kill ya in 1-2 shots until you reach 140ish stats and can wear lvl 10 armor kinda makes it pointless to try and explore. but that is off topic.

I heard alot of buzz about things would be changing that things would get done and when anyone asked me I would always say trust the devs they are working on something. Now I would rather not log to say something like that when I find it hard to make myself believe it, well impossible i guess is the right word. As it stand right now if i had 100 friends who would play the game i wouldnt tell them about it, since they would quit within 2 weeks of not seeing if the smallest patch going in. People just dont hang around very long in a game that seems to be at a standstill. I will continue to log in and play every now and then but in all honesty i dont feel the need to do anything, hunting is point less since it no longer gets you anything you can sell for what it is worth(not enough people). Questing, well it is long, drawn out, and completely boring, and the rewards are mediocre. People just arent gonna stick around for the most part because they used to love playing this game, hell 99% of the community was made up of ex-players who had already done everything once or twice or 5 times before, they wont keep sinking money into a game they have now already done everything there is to do 8 times.

guess that was a little of a rant but oh well.

I realize this won't solve the problem, but the aforementioned xp change may keep people from that horrible mindless grinding which makes us all not want to get on as much, new or old. As for getting new people, wasn't there a thread with a list of sites to write reviews about EA on? We could use that... I don't see what else we can do at this point. Maybe, with the new server and no monthly bill, the GMs could get a little bit of advertising around after fixing up the game?
