*TELOS* Please Turn the XP gain on all the rune bosses up

I have a couple points that some will disagree with but i really think i am right.

Telos PLEASE turn the Xp gain up on all the rune bosses. I mean seriously up.

1. There is nothing to do in this game or in the environment that should need you to advance slowly. The appeal of this game is not like other mmos where you grind slowly though 100 levels of incremental equipment gains.

2. Most people who like this game are going to stay here and play regardless of the time.

3. people who dont play this game are not going to want to shoot a stationary target for 100 hours to get to WT 16. Its just not going to happen. People may do it but it will *SUCK* the whole time.

4. I see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to go through the leveling arch in about 3 weeks of semi casual gaming. The hard core players will advance faster but so what most of them have played this game for years anyway.

Lets face it there is not even 3 months worth of content in this game. So why pretend like there is? This should be a level fast, do some quests, PVP game. Why treat it like there is 6 months worth of content? This game should be geared towards 3 Weeks of leveling, a few more weeks of questing and 2 months of PVP. Then most people are going to move on anyway. Some will come back periodically to check for new stuff to buy or do.

Many of us will stick around with our maxed out guys and duke it out, or try out all the races and get a collection of characters going. This will be MUCH more fun. Trust me.

So please Beef up the XP on *ALL* the rune bosses. I am tired of shooting destroyer for hours on end. I have tested several other rune bosses and none of them give you the XP that Destroyer does. Yet even he is about 6% gain in an hour of shooting. I want 10% a ***** even going from WT 16 to 17 on *any* rune boss i chose

even at 10% per hour thats going to end up being 18-20 kills/hours with people PKing you or shared xp etc. That is enough for a game with this level of content.

(in other words from WT 17 to 18 10% per solo rune boss kill and it increases from there on the way down)

I use to not agree with this, but now I'm starting too.
Mainly because my internent sucks so bad that I only get about 1 in every 2 ta three shots in.
So if you dont mind, just a little bit even.
But what i suggest is that only two rune bosses be high EXP.
Destroyer where you ledge should be double what he is right now, then edit the map on one of them and make him like 4 times higher but take out all the areas that you can ledge, and just make it 2 where you actaully have to fly around using heals up..... and dodging Attacks.

regardless people will still have to complete the required quests.

Then you guys can focus on making interesting Story quests that are released once a month. that use more of the characters or interaction between the races. aybe a new 20 part story driven quest a month. With some intersting story archs that you have to be level 14-16 to even complete. Maybe a Blob army invasion of AP is brewing and the quest revolves around stoping it. With an interesting Item gained at the end or some special badge that does something.

You could replace the story quest like I said, once a month so that there would not be NPC clutter.

A new Monthly quest and lots of high level PVP. Sounds like a winning combination to me.

Yea, PvP quest would be awesome. For example (using Wizard):

Darius: I need 10 of Wizard's heads...oh, you'd do it for free? Well he's a jerk so any death of his is good for me, you can keep the money and WP exp.


But that's just me and I'm sure others would like to change things, like maybe 15 of Wizard's heads or 20. Could be any player though. Or it could be defined by race.

Funny that the same individual who advocates afk leveling also encourages the increase of runeboss experience given. Ironic?

By that definition, does not every mmorpg "pretend" to have more content than it actually has? There is a better place to level, believe it or not. We're talking about a level 16 gun, it requires a ton of effort to be able to use, but that is precisely the reason i've made effort to make the level 14 guns a viable pvp alternative. I do see the fact that frogs are without a 14 gun, and may change that soon. With expanding content, leveling can be made easier with a newer high level cap, but I don't know when we'll get to that point.

What is really ironic is that you dont get the fact that i dont WANT TO HAVE TO AFK LEVEL.

I was advocating AFK leveling becuae its SO FREAKING BORING and MIND NUMBING and LAME to fight the same guy over and over and over and over in order to level WT.

Telos, im sorry every mmo does not pretend to have more content. Anarchy online has a solid years worth of content maybe more. Wow has alot more content. Most other mmo's people play have a lot more content. Even if this is a small dev team game these are the facts

This game does not have even close to the same number of quests or land mass or "missions" or variable instanced zones or anything most of the other mmos have.

I am only saying that the game is tons of fun *except* for this one area. Other games have grinds to but its totally different. You are doing hunting parties in teams and team missions and working together to kill a powerful mob. All of wich is fun and all of it gets you some good gains and a constant flow of new equipment and weapons.

Surely You and others here can see the difference between the way this game operates and nearly all the other mmos.

Turning up the XP on a few Rune boses is not going to ruin the game and i suspect it will make it a darn sight more fun. However, what would make it even more fun is if this game let you level naturally by using your big guns to hunt more powerful mobs and gain stats and xp accordingly.

But regardless i am here for the long haul and will continue to support the game in every way I can. I am just voicing my frustration.

i haff solution......
make a new room that you must quest to get into (make it so you have to do the quest each time, would make it more practical)
put a mob with uber high lvling, and that can kick your but ALOT (make it a flying mob or give it splash so that they can't use skoid and never get hit....)
make it so the room is a square or a rectangle so there is NO possible way to get the mob stuck

this creates a lvling area as well as solves the AFK grinding......

im offering a possible alternative to the lvling/runeboss xp thing, NOT offering more content ideas.

I don't know if doing the same quest over and over again with different drops (although from different people for reasons other than getting to know the game better) counts as content. EA has that but it's much more limited than WoW. I did the 10 day free trial thing, and almost every quest I did from almost any given person was "Go kill [insert mob here] until you get 15 of [insert drop here that doesn't always drop]". Not to mention, the drops that didn't always drop were stuff that should've, like a Raptor talon or a Raptor head. Every single Raptor I saw in that game had talons and a head, and my staff sure as heck didn't totally destroy the head or the talons.

They don't have armor or weapons on them either, but you still get that stuff .

I agree too. MMO's are just one big collaborative grind with a CEO laughing hysterically every night about why he didn't think of making a game pretend to be something when it is just the same thing over and over again.

I hope one day we will be away from such laborious things. I hear the Warhammer MMO is going away from this and will pwn.

And this is different from every other rpg how?
At least in Endless Ages you have the opportunity and luxury of a first person shooter, and I'd rather be bored shooting **** than clicking ****.

You can't AFK macro in WoW. In fact, it has it's own macroing system for potion, gear, and other trade making skills. They get around it for because gear stays forever and potions are A LOT more valuable in WoW (3 min. cool down). EA makes you chug potions like frat boy at a party chugs alcohol. So of course there is a problem with macroing since you have to keep up with demand. The potion system is broken IMO, either that or crafting only ONE AT A TIME is broken.

this isn't wow. there is no healing class. you don't have 8k hp.

how is the potion system broken?
