Scrolls worth it?

I'm thinking about spending 10 bucks for for dual acid shots (double exp for the fastest leveling weapon in the game) and was wondering what I'd spend the rest on. Anyone know how good the scrolls are, what level they require, what exp. they give, and if they are really worth it? Also, I was particularly thinking about the invisibility scroll, but is it better than the hiding skill? Can it replace hiding totally and make it worthless? Also, what are the mats for the scrolls. Couple questions about them if anyone bought and uses them.

P.S. I saw the sub and other vehicles in the trading post. I think it would be a good idea to warn buyers that they can be gotten through a quest and are there for convenience reasons.

Polycycles can only be gotten through the trading post. The quest for the hoverbike still exists, but it can no longer be upgraded into a polycycle. The hoverbike quest will ONLY give you a hoverbike. =)

Valeriane's Site has a list of the magic scrolls and their mats. Note that the TP has circle 4 and 5 spells, and thus you will need at least level 7 and 9 in your magic skill to even attempt them. The experience you gain from them varies like all other skill in EA, based on your current level.

The familiar scrolls (drakite, gope, skoid) all are level 1 familiar, so you should be able to buy them and use them right away. They require no mats to use. I recommend the skoid for faster travel.

Hide vs Invisibility Scroll: (most people just use both, depending on situation)
Hide - Require no mats to use, can be used when equipping gun, cannot use if recently damaged by a mob. Requires at least level 15 hide to have any reliability of success, in my opinion.

Invisibility scroll: Requires you to carry mats, must unequip your weapon to use, but you can use if you have been recently hit by a mob. Requires level 8 magic to have a good chance of success, and by 8.50.00 its pretty much automatic, IMO.

Well that's not totally true, if you maxed out familiars you'll never fail getting on or off, but if you haven't maxed out familiars or you're just starting it can cause problems.

Invis takes a while to get to (not as long as hide 18.100 though), and because you have to go to your inventory screen to use the scroll it may be a disadvantage. Invis works a little better though, which kind of annoys me because the hide skill is almost pointless when the invis scroll works better if you're just running around trying to get somewhere and not shoot.

Hmm, my experience with familiars differs Blank. I have been able to use familiars right from the start, and my familiar level is still at level 1. I wonder what problems you have encountered.

Also you can place your invisibility scroll in your quickbar, and bypass going to your inventory screen (outside of going there to unequip your gun if need be of course).

You can use them all at lvl 1 but I've heard of cases where you fail at times for the latter familiars (skoid/gope). I could be mistaken though.

And yea I was talking about disarming your weapon for the inventory.

Why is there not a hotkey for unequipping yourself? I think it would seriously add fun to the game if they added that. It would be much more action-ish to unequip/equip stuff to use spells quickly. Like, say, use a gun for damage and unequip to cast a poisoning spell or a spell that makes you go faster than go back to your weapon. Could add a cooldown to it too.

And thanks about the scrolls, guess I'll just settle with the dual acid shots.
