Pvp Tourney - Endless Ages

Ok folks, as promised, I'm trying to get a PVP tourney going to make up for the one missed.

THIS ONE WILL BE GM HOSTED-- and prizes as of this moment have not been secured but will try to dig up some cool stuff.

RULES: HARDCORE PK
No heals, no ss, no magic and no hide - just straight up fighting.

There will be levels to this -- new to pvp up to expert. To be held in the four falls crypts (room with the big hole). This Saturday!

What I need from players is a time -- so if you're interested sign up below with a time and what level you think you are. Also ideas for what you think would be good prizes would be great.

I vote on about the same time we had the event. alot of people showed up for that.

(i would just make it a standard that main events will be at 3PM on saturday)

or perhaps 4. not sure. we just need a standard time for events =)

I was thinking levels more like

New to pvp - level 1 (newbie)

been in a fight or two - level 2 (mild pvp)

Had a fair share of fights - Level 3 (moderate)

would rather PK than breathe- level 4 (Expert)

If I could PVP I'd sign up, but making 3 PM PST the event time all the time can cause problems for people out of the US, and people who's parents don't give a damn about what he/she told someone he/she was gonna do online at a certain time because they don't understand you can't pause an MMO and have dinner at around 6 PM.

The times for events can't really be just one time because I remember a lot of people having issues with events before because it was at 3 PM PST (6 PM EST) and they didn't want to stay up just for an event.

eh maybe break into categories of the highest weapon that person can use? 1st gen RG, 2nd gen RG and DGs.
(RG-Rune Gun, DG-Death gun)
I mean I fit into lvl4 on my experiance, but my power rifle doesnt compete with any decent aim DG or 2nd gen RG.

Then again, I probably wont make it, unless its super early in the morning like 7-8am eastern.

i can pvp, my level would probably be around level 2, but im just wondering if we can hold the event on friday instead? like maybe 7pm pacific time? just a suggestion

cuz i work almost all day on saturdays and will probably miss EVERY event held on saturdays >_< again, just a suggestion...

im glad to see that its a sealed deal. i was wondering oogie if we can have a melee round or two

. Because i dont pvp..never have so i would be a lv 1 haha...

I really like the melee idea. a own tourny for melee. I would love that.

I do have to say melee might need to go by race cause I Was meleeing SKA once (AP version) and I could not hit him once cause he was so short. for some reason it just never hit. but yet he hit me like every try.

But yeah, it should prolly be level 3 for me.

(btw, will it be only based on "pvp skills" level ? i mean, will a "moderate" lv18 fight a "moderate" lv12 ? or are you also putting WT lv brackets in ? -that would make a lot of brackets, but yeah... im not sure i wanna fight a deathgun yet... even a "new to pvp" one, lol)

PS : about the time, 3pm PST is good for me since it's 0am around my place, which is still an OK hour to play. 6pm PST is too late for me.

Make sure to get everyone's hp and prot recorded before the fight, because I'm sure somebody will try to cheat.

Oh yea, watch out for SS glitches with HP. Pain's notorious for this. I think the levels should be based on what Bliz said.

After many different discussions and a bit of thinking here is my proposal.

1- players should at least be in 11 armor with rune gun. This keeps it on a skill basis. (I'm open to discussion on this one but no death guns or splash weapons)

2- players will not be allowed to enter or leave once the tourny begins. Anyone doing so will be punished by any and all means necessary. The room will be swept along with the general area for hidden persons. Bring ONLY AMMO! Anything else gets confiscated, permanently.

3- So as to keep players honest- they will be shot upon entering the tombs. their bodies will be examined by TWO GM's and once they pass the check, they will be allowed to enter. Observers of the contest will also be shot - no heals may be brought in.

heals will be distributed by GM's. (Still being worked on the particulars)

Anyone not signing up through me or here on the thread-- will NOT be allowed to compete. Brackets will be assigned and matches may include melee if time allows.

I'm open to discussion but - this is going to be a SKILLS match. Just to see who really is the best.

I've still not got with Jason about prizes but I think lvl 1 should get something nice but a lvl 4 should get something remarkable.

The blobic rune gun is a splash weapon, so you can't actually make that a rule, and you're not going to find out who the best pvper is by staging a lvl 12 rune weapon fight with no heals, seeing as actual combat is with different weapons and tactics, but you can call it a skills match if you want.
