Question PK system

I was wondering why the old PK system have been removed. I mean, back in the days when after 7-8 PK ur name was becoming red and you had to be online some hours to remove a kill, u were being attacked by every monster ( SAFE ZONE included ) another player could attack you in SZ .. I know that MANY people like to PK but when u are getting PKed like 15 times in 5-10 mins by a player 2-3 times your strength I dont see wheres the PVP in this, it **** off a lil bit.. There should be negative point of PKing because I dont see EndlessAges as a PVP game only.. so if the old PK system would be put back in, it would maybe stop some player to camp a zone and stop HARASSING other player that are trying to do a quest or leveling.


I am NOT talking against PK/PVP ... only the survey of EA

It's out for now because the former company Rapid Reality bought EA and made some crazy changes and one of those changes happened to be removal of the PK system.

The pk system now is exciting more exciting than ever before, also the in game should be allowed to loot in rune bosses too.

Right now there are no red tags. It's not something recognized by the engine. I will not go so far as to speculate as to what caused this. I'm sure as soon as possible the admin will see what can be done about bringing this back.

we clearly see that only tax collector will complain about puting back the old PK system cuz they are harassing other player and have nothing else to do than p!ssing off other player.. Its not like if we were 50 people ingame.. we are about 5 to 10 depending the moment of the day.. so when a new player start to play and reach level 12 in a fighting skill and get pked over and over he gets bored of it and just leave..

Puting back the old pk system would only give a chance to the noob to get higher and add more challenge to those who get excited when they cyber-kill someone

Instead implament a bounty system based on the murder status

Murder count 5-10 reward 100k

10-20 300k
20-40 800k
40+ 1.5 mil or more!

when the bounty is collected the murder status is reset to "0"

i was thinking of a PK switch system... I dunno if this is possible or not...

First of all, pvp is a big part of the game. Its fun, exciting, and never gets boaring. But the problem here is that theres a risk (getting looted/etc) if you want to enjoy it. That risk is stopping some ppl from taking the step into the fun. So i was thinking of a way to make PVP enjoyable for every ppl in the game, and came up with a 3-step PVP switch idea.

BLUE:
Cannot damage/be damaged/loot/be looted by other players at all. Your name shows up in White.
For questers, and ppl that dont wanna be bothered.

YELLOW:
Can damage or be damaged by ppl anywhere in the world by other Yellow/Red ppl, but cannot loot or be looted. Also it wont matter what level you are. Any level yellow will damage/take damage from any level yellow. Your name changes color to orange (or something thats clearly visible).
For the ppl that just want to enjoy PVPing. This is the main part. Its like being able to arena anywhere in the world, any time you want. Perfect for practicing/ friendly matches/ etc.

RED:
Can damage/be damaged by Yellows/Reds, and can loot/be looted anywhere in the world, but only by other reds. Name turns red.
For the ppl that must bathe in blood to justfy their existance. Once you go red, you cannot switch to other modes for a long period of time (days or maybe weeks), to prevent from blue/yellows to just turn red, loot a red corpse, and then switch back. Switching modes will un-hide you. The bounty system can come in here too, like if you either get killed, or change colors, your kill streak ends. You must kill the player in red mode to collect the bounty.

The whole idea here is making PVP fair, and enjoyable for anyone, even to those that dont wanna take risks. Its not very well thought out, so yall are welcome to comment on this. right now, ppl can be forced to pvp, and when ppl are forced to do something they dont wanna do, they generally get pizzed. The griefing by the over powered few must end to prevent the newcommers from leaving. PVP must have higher availability for keeping the players playing.

Rapid reality felt some crazy need to do a lot of weird things. While i can see the merit of disabling the pk system if you're developing a game, I don't see why there was not a simple variable to enable it. The same goes with housing, which as far as I can tell was OUTRIGHT REMOVED. Of course we don't have aura source, so we can't fix it. We also can't work reverse engineering miracles, and if anyone could, well, they would probably already be doing it. Either we have aura or we're stuck in many aspects.
