Newb curious about the game. - Endless Ages

I reviewed Endless Ages way back in 2002, saw that it was broken, and gave up.

Now I was asked to review it again since it has gone completely free, and I just have to ask,
Is this game ever going to get any polish on it?

I know this sounds like a flame thread, but the truth is, Endless Ages could be an amazing game, it has so many elements that are just awesome for an MMO. The only reason it had no retail success is that it looks like it was beta tested by one person who didn't have time to get to 'everything'.

Now my curiosity is piqued, and I would really love to play this game; i'd really love it to be at its potential, but playing now is no different than it was six years ago. SIX YEARS, and you still have an exploits giving all the money u can carry (and I found this exploit almost immediately, how do u guys have no money?), uncompleteable quests, clunky interface, and everyonce in a while all the mobs completely dissapear from the game world.

Any plans on fixing this thing?

the game has switched owners several times and now the game is starting up again under Digital Motion Entertainment. there are many things in the game that need fixing... but under the new ownership, they are trying to get the game to the best it can possibly be. it will take time and it's a work in progress.
they are doing the best they can and it is just going to take time to try and fix up everything. =)

Glad to see you come back and give EA another look.

This game was only recently was purchased by DME. The problems are currently being worked on but it's a very small team and they are working at it hardcore. Give them a chance, they are a rare group. You'll see them here getting involved in the community, which isn't common.

If you would, please send me a list of the things you've mentioned and would like to make suggestions on. I think that the team would welcome ways to make the game more enjoyable and attractive. Until these can be finalized and completed, i hope you enjoy some game time here. Thanks for coming by and leaving feedback.

An exploit that gives you max money?

I have not seen anything like that. there is a problem with stats between SS and normal not correcting themselves that can be an exploit. Like having what ever armor and HP the SS orb you were using had even though you reverted back to normal form.

the game is till very user unfriendly sadly

I've been trying to get into it again but I don't know where anything is I can't even figure out the chat system no in game map no nothing if you have never played the game before its a very very tough learning curve and thats what they should really be fixing sadly its not

Enter for chat. I've never encountered the money exploit though... Wouldn't do it if I knew though, such a lame thing to do. From what we've been told the game was put into a forced "Live" instead of Open Beta for whatever reason (possibly running out of money, which is from what I've heard what happened last time). When the game was purchased by the current group there was a lot of bugs that they couldn't totally fix. It's a work in progress no doubt, no way it's even close to being done, as there's still a lot of tweaking and what not to get done. Give it some time and I'm sure EA will become far greater than what it once was.

If possible hold off on the review for a little, or point out that it's being fixed by a small team or something.

I've done a bit more searching into the history of the game and I am more understanding of your situation. I have always thought there was a lot of potential in the game; it does something with the MMO format that you can't find anywhere else. I hope over the next year the current development team can pull something off to make all their hard hours eventually pay-off. Good luck guys, i'm rooting for ya

This game like any other game is under constant revisions that's something you have to get used to. The exploit you mentioned was a bad one that very few ppl knew about but those that did know about it used it anyways and i rem right got booted from the info in the server logs.

Gve the game some time it will get better, I returned after a 7 year loss of play. although there are many things that are different and alot that I don't agree with it will get better.
