Msn Ea Users Alert Read - Endless Ages

To alll users of MSN chat program, if you get a message from ANY of your contacts that play endless ages and get one of these.

It asked you to enter your email address and password, This is a malicious site that gathers users email addresses and passwords

I have had 3 EA players that contacted me today asking me what this was, i was also infected with this. Mine came from another GM who I thought was sending me a link to a photo storage website location.

If you received it and opened it, or put your email address in there or your password by accident CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD NOW

Yeah also, if one of you're friends all of a sudden login and say something then send you a link or just sne dyou a link and all of a sudden log off... dont go to it!

After more checking its supposed to be an advertising site, but no way should an advertising company have a need for your email info as in log in name and password. So far ppl that I have talked to that were tricked into this thinking that it was a friend that sent em a link have been FLOODED with mail. I am taking actions on this as far as I can to get the original sender that started all this and go from there.

remember CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS for email asap!!

Thank you for getting this warning up so quickly Latnia. Just goes to show you guys CAN NOT trust anything that asks for your username and password unless you know 100% for sure its what you think it is. I almost got caught by it when they sent a advertisement to me from Latnia's MSN. Luckily I didn't give it my username and password.

I got my message at 3:38 pm from another GM trying to back trace this farther for ppl if they can edit their posting and give me an approximate time they know or think they got their message.

I am in the process of traceing the headers of the email back to the original creator,

as some of you may know and for others that dont, anytime an email is sent the header is modified to include specific information about the sender (IP, subnet, registered name, computer name, and other info that can be used to identitfy the creator. Although it is encrypted it can be decrypted rather easy,

I have identified the creator and am working with Latnia to resolve the issue.

as far as we can tell the info was sent to only EA players that have MSN addresses on thier profiles.

The only people who got it where the ones on the original senders MSN list and whoever answered and was on that persons list. If you didnt get the message I'm guessing they arent on your list. And Thank You very much.

actually it was started by somone that doesnt even play EA, it just filtered through peoples msn lists until it happened to get to us ... its nothing more than a phising attempt to get ur info for msn to pass on a virus

sign into your email acct, when you are there on the right top side locate OPTIONS. when you are there change password and also change the HINT then save and save again it will ask you 2x all is done.
