Maintenance - Endless Ages

Hey folks,

Server is going down in 10 minutes for some quick maintenance.

In this update we have added a few items, changed around some of the drops and added some new drops.

We have hopefully fixed the 14 and 15 dungeon AI, and will be testing it shortly.

Server should be back online in around 15 minutes, Thank You for your patience.

I'm happy to see some progress being made, but I really would like the CTDs to stop. Also the water's still messed up and makes it unplayable for me. Guess I'll wait for yet another patch and hope beyond hope that the game's fixed. Also friend tells me the SS HP bug and not being able to hit anything after dying bug still exist. Blah

Don't just say you can't play because of water, post your system specs including graphics card, make sure you have the latest direct x.

yes I still have the same problem with the ss bug... must unshift and re-shift after I die, sometimes more than once.

Already talked in game to arma about my specs, but here they are again

AMD Athlon3700
nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra
1GB RAM

Not top of the line but it should easily be able to run EA flawlessly. Instead I get single digit FPS whenever the water is nearby. Also, the water looks nothing like it's supposed to. Instead of being all nice looking, I get untextured bright green squares that look like wavy lines were slapped on with MSPaint. Due to the severe hit to my FPS, my guns don't fire half the time, fighting while SS'd is out of the question, and even when the guns do fire, it's impossible to aim.

6800 ultra is on board graghics? If so I'ma bet that it'll never do reflections and shaders properly. I think those have pipeline issues and are not intended for real gaming. I'm no expert by anymeans but In my experience onboard graghics = sux.

No, 6800 Ultra is not onboard, it should run the game just fine. Have you uninstalled your driver and installed the newest driver from nvidia's website?

my on board graphics work just fine in rendering the water and everything i am steady when it comes to fps it never drops below 46 and is around 55+ when near water, so i guess i got a decent on board graphics.

Updated drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled, uninstalled the card, reinstalled it, and reupdated drivers. No go.

Duke had the GeForce 6800 Ultra in a dell he bought awhile back only 256 onboard memory. it had alot of trouble running a few games he tested on it like freelancer, X3 and saddly mechwarrior 4 vengence, seems solid on lower graf games like avernum series. havent tryed it on EA but it doesnt seem to stand up on moving textures. just his opinion on it.
Im running a nVidia GeForce 6200, its 256, and runs everything pretty good. runs EA anyways, check the driver if u have not done so already and download the latest Direct X

Have you used Driver Cleaner Pro during Driver Installments?

Could also be a faulty card.

Do you have at least 480watt power supply? That card is a power hog.

Also,, Did you try to overclock that card? That card does not overclock (well it does, but fails benchmark tests) Benchmarks for this card were conducted without overclocking.
