Language in Game - Endless Ages

OK everyone the language ingame has got to stop. A few of you are repeat offenders and have been asked many times to curb the language. If it keeps up after repeatedly asking you to stop you will suffer the consequences of being teleported to the wastlands. If you loose your inventory tough luck you are warned.

A slip of the tongue I can understand but blatantly doing it is another matter and needs to be stopped. Same goes with bypassing by placing xxxxxxx or whatever you deem necessary.

This game is played by a variety of ages from young to old so play nice before you find yourself in an unforgettable place and loose everything you have.

Lol yea because in like every other MMO in the world people are so nice and are all carebears.. and Yea i mean.. dont bother putting a language filter ingame for the kids like yourself or fixing the squelch command.. thanks for the warning. I mean because you don't purposely ever swear in real life right?
this whole topic about not being able to speak your opinion is very hypocritical to anyone who says stop swearing cause you all do it yourself.

Ok, see now here is where the rubber is going to hit the road.

It's pretty clear in the EULA what is acceptable and what isn't. I think instead of portaling you somewhere, gag or squelch you then just forget to turn your global chat back on. ya that'll work.

There have been too many cases lately of blatant cussing and racial remarks. The racial stuff is clearly bannable material. The cussing-- if it's bothering other players could be as well.

So let's just get Jason's opinion on this and see what hapens.

that would be a good thing Blizzard adding it to the TP but I am not asking a real big thing. All I am asking is to curb it as we have players of all ages in this game and reading the EULA also states what i am asking.

whoa there I dont use it offensively, I use it leisurelly, from what i understood I wasnt gonna be able to do that. Sorry this is me after 2 days of working 15 hours each and 4 hours of sleep, on edge O_O

what I'm proposing and I'm sure Latnia will back me up, is a general rule of thumb on it.

Think of when you hit your finger with a hammer on accident-- hurts like crazy and you sometimes let things slip. -- That would be excusable. In moments of frustration, it would be excusable.

Cussing just to have a filler of the sentence -- no. Cussing becuase that's the limit of your vocabulary, no.

It has its place so to speak and if used with common sense, then there is no reason for worry.

Howabout this, you wave all that, until we have our group chat, and then can put that censered stuff on local for the sensitive ones.

And again sorry for being a pain, its just i dont feel like stepping on nails everytime I talk, especialy infront of GMs

Bottom line?

You dont *need* to swear at all. PERIOD.

I dont care if you do it in rea life or not. You guys act all offended but you know very well that what you are doing is not commonly acceptible in *ANY* mixed public enviornment. Chain swearing, using truely offensive words and spewing line after line of it is simply unacceptible. If you talked like that in real life you would be just as wrong and would need to get your mouth washed out with a bar of soap.

Sorry, its the truth.

Talk and act respectfully in game and in life.
