Lag spikes? - Endless Ages

ok this is got to past a joke :S

what is happening is every like 15 seconds i get a lag spike for 1-2 seconds... more when im fighting a monster sometimes or even just flying past one like flying to shrad in BM.. for the second im lagged the monsters seem to take the opportunity and im dead as soon as the spike ends

this isnt a problem as im only level 9... im getting most my skills to 9 because of the spikes and its gonna be a real pain when i hit 10 or 12. and pvp is going to be annoying

What is you memory and Video card?

when this happens is it at certain times of the day or night or is it continuous?

use speedtest.com or dslreports.com either of those will tell you lots of info when this is happening.

Is the computer properly vented? check and make sure ALL fans are working, especially if you have a graphics card with a fan built on it.

I have the same problem sometimes, but mostly during PvP. Could be a hardware problem. What are the system requirements for this game anyway? I haven't sen them anywhere.

what kind of gfx card do you have / also what fps does it do. remember the more items that the computer has to keep track of the harder it is at times this includes video cards and memory.

when there are many ppl in a given area as in the pvp turney you will have a chance to lag.

I have a GeoForce 6800 XTEME. Also 1 gig of ram. I use a 64 AMD processor. It isn't anything to severe, only lasts a split second. It's just annoying.

i have been experiencing the lag spikes as well, and they have been getting increasingly worse since auction was put in along with random crashes and CI, the lag spikes got alot worse when the new servers were added right now I dont even bother to try and play since ever 5-10 secs i get a CI or a huge lag spike. Before auction was put in my ping was consistently at 60 or below alot of times around 35 or so, and my fps was hanging out around 55, now my ping is rarely below 65 and jumps up to 100 to 250 alot and then when i get the bad spikes it jumps to 1500-2500, and my fps hasnt reached 50 it is around 44 and fluctuates rapidly down to 15-25 and then back up again.

I would think it was my comp but everything ran perfectly fine before auction and new servers. I expected improved performace with the server improvement but it went the other way on me.

The random crashes never happened before to me before auction was put in, now they happen with annoying regularity every 15-20mins.
