I don't know about a health bar above their name, right now being able to see the damage above their head is to much.
Just trying to keep Endlessages how it should be..

It would be good though if they did something like that though ... so u dont have to spend time waiting how much you have killing of that "NPC" or "MOBs".

If they put it in the chat window yes I agree.
But putting a health bar above the name would gay up EA, it would make it a WoW game and thats what Jason is trying to avoid, he is trying to keep Endlessages..... Endlessages..

Thats what i meant like in the chatbox like you see the have much DMG they do to you , if would be gd if like you shoot it . then it will say for exmaple MISFIT has dmg w/e for 152 and it has 87% left of hp ... But yea anyways just an idea XD.
They probably wont do it so there wasnt really no point in this thread.

it's all part of the suspense, not knowing when they die.
plus, are you really going to be that close to the mob? usually i'd try to dodge the projectiles from a distance.
shout outs to all my home boiahs and home girls out there, you know who you be.
best believe.

eeeeeh... There's benefits and umm... de-benefits (?) to hp bars on mobs.
Benefits: You know how many hps they mob has left, but for most mobs, either you don't need something to tell you because you know or you'd die if you took your eyes off the mob for a second.
De-benefits: It adds onto the graphics and can be a pain in the butt, not to mention, if it was directly above the mob, it'd have to be hugenormous to actually be visible generally. And surprises are fun.
When you fight a tough long lasting mob (if you're not in a cornor or ledge not able to be hit) you're always on your top game to try to make sure you don't die. If you know how many hps it has, you'll start to get lax when you see that you're doing really well. Plus, the sigh of relief after you finally kill it is such a good feeling, wouldn't wanna lose that.
And Choob, I have a rough sketch (that I did in math class [spent half the period working on it instead of doing work]) of what it may look like, when i find the time I'll take a picture on my camera and PM it to you.

I say that a health bar would turn this game into all the other games. It would make it a heck of alot less realistic... I mean from punching someone in the face u can visually see how much damage you have done, but you have no idea when they are finished. I have seen some of these mobs almost looked dead, then they catch me off guard lol.

I've asked for this a few times over the years and got all the same responses. I think that not having the health bars does indeed add to the suspense and gives the game that extra feel that other games don't have. Sure it would be easier to have someone stronger help you kill something for an autodrop if you knew when to hit last, but that's not really playing the game. I say no to the health bars.

Well, most of the time if you really kill alot of the monsters you have an average of how many times you have to reload or w/e so after about one you get the point... One other question, do monsters like clegurks and stuff have the same amount of health you have while shape shifted? That (if its true) combined with the damage done in your combat log you should have a visual of how long it takes to die, plus... most of the people don't go up and try to dodge monster damage from 2 feet away...Even if they made the health bar super big, think of the mass amounts of monsters there are in some areas... Maybe a toogle area in options menu for the nubs =D

When you use a monster's orb, you will have the amount of HP that THEY have, plus your STR.

It's an okay idea but I think it might take away from the overall gameplay and I don't think it would really be worth the effort.

i think its a good idea only if youre fighting say a boss mob then it would come in handy... but other than that i say leave the health bars where they are now... in other games

Heres a better idea: You can lock on to a monster as long as it stays in view. It takes a few seconds but once u do, a circular health bar shows up around the edges of the monster. U can only lock onto one target at a time. Once the monster dies, the lock on goes away. Getting hit by an attack screws up the lock on for half a second or so. You cannot lock on to other players.
If u want to see an example: Play any Ratchet and Clank game after # 2 and ull see what i mean.
