please dont kill me for this.
Well today I downloaded Tabula Risa and played it a while on the free trial and the second i started playing i looked around and said 'holy crap this looks just like ******' the stars are there because i only want to say it once so i don't risk getting banned. Anyway it got me thinking about the changes in game play between EA and ****** and i think that maybe some things about ****** where very good the main thing that killed it (at least that i knew of) was the bad server connection and the fact that it had so many glitches if those things where worked out it might be use full but once again im just throwing it out there. In the end phylon could have been a better endless ages but it just wasnt.

1. I have no idea what you are talking about.
2. Tabula Rasa is about as much a FPS MMORPG as WoW is.

As I understand, [the game we do not mention] was a sort of a very crude remake of EA. Wouldn't that make it EA related?

It was hardly a a remake of EA. They took the names, races, and script and then bludgeoned them repeatedly with a Stick of Supreme Suck, resulting in possibly the most disgraceful game ever. I mean, they attached rockets to flobs.. I mean.. come on!

Rocket flobs... rofl
Who voted for it? My first guess would be a certain someone who you, ob, and I know to be very annoying from back in the day (in your clan). I don't think I should be directly flaming though.

*shrugs* your all completly correct. The game needed a TON of more work and it was released insanly early and they closed EA because of it so i agree. I never played gold so i thought booster was awsome.

Phylon was... not even true FPS, it was 3rd person. IT was crap, quests had no direction, glitches out the ass, not to mention i dont even think there was tradeskillz or familiars.
As for tabula rising, played beta, just another rpg system with WASD controls. If I hit something direct on, I expect damage, not a miss. Enemies projectiles always homed in, so you could never really truly dodge a shot. Basically lame

I can't believe someoen got their mind to wrap around calling "that other thing" a game.
It's the only game I know of to pull a "LEROY JENKINS".

The concept itself wasn't bad, but they basically took EA and beat it so bad you couldn't tell what it was anymore. I mean the APs were clearly a copyright infringement of crazy frog, they took away the APs being all nature loving, they made BLs, well blobs. And let's not get started with the foot fetish. The concept had potential, but the game was total BS.

I remember that all the charactors other than HM and HF looked a lot like they where beaten with a bat. Hated how the game turned out.

**That game I can't mention** had jet packs. That was the only good thing. The armor made players look like glowing eggs. The quests were impossible to figure out. You basically had to just do quests and hope to figure out what they gave or where it would be needed in the future.
The only other thing I could mention would be the basic materials that mobs dropped like bone, meat, metal scraps, etc. I think this concept could be used to enhance trade skills in EA and give people a reason to hunt mobs. For example you need 100 metal scraps and then a smithy could make sheet metal. Then you need 10 pieces of sheet metal or whatever to make a jet pack. But you'd also need bolts, nuts, springs, etc that are all basic material that mobs drop.
Same for alchy. Basic materials to create more advanced materials to make and end product. Just a suggestion.
Also, I think the Enslaved Yetti should be added to EA!

I think that's a pretty good idea, to use mob drops for alchy. It makes sense too. Unlike every other MMO every mob actually drops something every time (a head, hoof, w/e).

Actually you use Malia bat wings for certain alch stuff, and I'm sure there are others where mob drops are used.
Though, yea I never understood, if a mob has a head, why won't you be able to get the head every time? You should at least be able to decide where to hit to make sure you could get a clean head or arm or whatever every time. Not to mention by the way they look, everything looks intact when they die, come on.
