On the Mic - Endless Ages

Hey, I was wondering if EA should have mic compatibility, forgive me if it's been asked before, but I think it would be easier to talk than type, especially in pvp.

It sounds wierd, but I think it would be cool to have as an option.

Alot of people here use Teamspeak and another program like that. But yes, I always thought EA should have voice/mic support.

Teamspeak Vent GSC just to name a few are in current use here.

Yeah, I know about those things, but friends may not be on a certain channel, and it would be easier to just talk ingame.

lol confusion? I mean as soon as u log on it would be like " Sup all" and u would get like a million hellos not knowing whose ur friend maybe if we had certain codes for people u could enter to go to that channel..
****** Another Money making idea****** Have People pay like a minmum fee for talking to others on EA.
Just an idea trash if u dont like lol.

The idea was brought up before, it could definitely cause some problems. It might be easier and better just to use TS or Vent in a private channel for hunting or whatever. You'd definitely need to limit who you talk to though, because it could easily get ridiculously confusing.

Also I demand no public voice chat in EA if it comes in. I do NOT want to hear a bunch of whiny 12 yr olds when the game gets more popular.

lol, it only goes towards the whiny ones who just found out about swearing. I remember those days, in first grade, when I learned a bunch of swears, I wanted to use them all the time because they were "cool" (remembers watching Moby Dick with my family...). Good thing I passed that stage before I was 12... Probably would've killed myself to protect the world. Honestly I don't care about age, but the really immature people with swears and "OMG F@G!!!!11!one!1one" tend to be around 12. Just look at XBL, how would you know if you were connected or not if you weren't being called every racial slur and sexual epithet ever thought up of by the 12 year olds? (for future reference, the phrase 12 year old means one with the maturity of an infant, and the ability to speak and the knowledge of swearing)

I think (for what its worth) that having the ability to have mic in game but control who you have to listen or talk to you would be great.... however I think there are other things that are more important to resolve at this time, I am fine using vent. right now

Yeah, but I did say as an option, as in you don't need to speek or hear certain people, like you have a list of people you wanna hear, like, you have a mic but don't wanna hear meaningless chi-chat, you wont hav to if you have a list of people you wanna hear, and ONLY those people can hear you and vise versa.

Just use ventrilo or teamspeak... WOuld be less trouble...There is a box load of bugs that need to be worked out before they would add this silly little feature anyway...

typing isn't hard
when I used TS it was hard to concentrate on things.
people don't like silence...that bothers me :P
it would let people get to know others better though... which could be good and bad

in game Voip would work fine but only in groups so first they need to fix groups

well i find, because this is an fps, it could use mic support much more then lets say world of warcraft for example. but it would either have to be limited to people within a certain range (true 3d sound, might be hard to impliment) or to people in your group
