Does any one like the magic system of EA?
If not what things would you like to see changed?

yeah combat w/ magic was horrible...
unless u switched out to no weapon wielding and disappeared or healed.

In some pvp cases you hotkeyed you weapon to equip and take off, and used the Heal. I think it was greater heal or something.. it was blue.

yea, there was no real combat purposes for magic, maybe as a cheap (debatable) way to sneak up on someone and do some damage, then switch to a gun or melee weapon, but other than that it seemed totally pointless besides healing and creating klondon meat to sell. the whole magic system could use a rework, albeit later on once EA is generally bug free and the important updates are done.

Yeah aside from from the Healing, Invisibility, and klondon meat I saw no point in it.

switching to magic was clumsy and ruined the use of magic in pvp having to open inventory then select gun and click unequip during a fight, one way could be the ability to equip the book with a hotkey to use magic, that would make it flow much better when switching magic/weapon

You should be able to use magic W/ Guns or have like Magic Guns or something - but most of the time only thing Magic was used for was Invis , and that was for reds who didnt need to carry guns, unless they were doing a quest or pvping.

well we won't have invis in magic in gold so it will barely be used at all now.

I think magic was still pretty good in Booster -- if thats the one i played in -- i dont understand - but all i know was being able to have Invis, or being able to turn into a tili, or a ean in the push of a button was SWEET. oh yea i was wondering can some one tell me what the endless ages i was in was called - You know the one when BL's werent Spikey and Looked Like Crap and AP's looked cool- .

Apple turning into a tili or ean was shapeshifting not magic, and you were in the final version, the one after the gold booster.

Kipp I found that healing magic in pvp wasn't so clumsy for me, I just hotkeyed everything.

Apple I think I have a better idea for your "magic guns" idea. Have magic spells that transfer elements onto weapns/armor, I think that would be interesting, kind of like a buff.

I considered magic a support skill in EA. Up until Air Kingdoms expansion, Greater Heal spell was really the only usefull spell, excellent for PvP & Hunting. Especially in gold when hunting, that GH spell saved my ass so many times. When Air Kingdoms came out, invisible scroll became the next usefull scroll, it was better then natural hide so every1 used it. Especially even after u got hit u could use it, so hunting with it was perfect.

Also I believe when Air Kingdom or mmolands update, there was a major issue with weapon switching so magic became less used in pvp.

Personally I'd like to see magic and melee on par with weapontech/mind control as a means of a way of playing the game. Magic you could just make rods with crosshairs (like the rods from AK except expand on them and not only for AP's) and have spells come out of them and have them dependent on the magic skill, magic would be easy as he11 to make usefull.

i think itd be nice to just have magic as a very good aoe so you could farm with it. also, make it so you can cast with a weapon out, but to a reduced effect. could even add a weapon that cant shoot but adds magic dmg.
