Lvling
Heyaz! well i think lvling in EA was 2 low and the higher lvls 16-18 in my opinion were a majour grind.. i think i read that jason is plannin on puttin a higher cap on lvling and better weapons ect.. but i was just wondering if any1 agrees that if the caps raised the rate should be a little more bearable?
p.s public poll coz i wanted 2? o.O

i think the rates were fine back in gold, booster it was way too easy to get lvl 12 WT in BT alone, i can just imagine how fast it would have been doing ship or any of the other rune bosses.
I say just raise the cap to 20.100 or something like that, but only if the dex/str/wis cap is raised to 325 or something along those lines. Would suck to reach max wt and max one of the trade skills and SS only to have the stat cap raised and you are stuck grinding for str/wis/dex to wear your next armor or something, where if stat cap had been raised before hand you wouldnt need to =P

Well if he goes with the 'Gold' rates, yeah knock them down a bit.
If they go with 'Booster' rates, turn them up some what.
&
If they make a whole new lvling rate.. well third time is the charm right?

if it's going with gold rates, i'd rather not have the level cap increased but the rates increased...

I'd prefer nothing touched in the leveling department. I think it was perfect the way it was.
The more we temper EA the less it will be like old EA. With that said, it can go both ways...
What we cannot allow is a carebear game that takes the focus off of PvP. This is (imo) the reason EA went into a downfall after I left shortly before they added new 14/16 weapons + booster. I bet the new weapons called for a rehaul of the PvP system thus bringing channels into the picture. I can't say for sure, but this seems logical.
Give me new areas, graphics, sounds, monsters, or just give me gold EA. I'll enjoy both.

The 14/16 weapons didn't disrupt pvp... but changing the channels made the wavesnipe (earthsnipe) good for pvp against people wearing 15. When people had their 14 guns and before they had their 16 guns some real skill shined through... nero had the smallest shot size and wasn't super fast.

I think it was lame how the channels made the lvl 16 guns nearly worthless cept for PvP. At one point those were long hard quests that got too easy near the end when almost all the quests became solo-able. Hopfully with some tweeking this can be more balanced and not swing from uber hard 2 too easy. Just my opinion

ppl keep it the same, afterall who wants to spend their life grinding of that fricken eyezion anyways!? aint the best feeling in EA when u hit 16+ WT and can say fook it all, im going to PvP  ?

Gussin said gold was "uber hard" and booster was "too easy" and I said gold was not too hard, it was fine. The poll does not say what the raise would be relative to - gold or booster, but I doubt anyone would want it too be easier than booster... so probably gold. Leave the game at the previous highest difficulty and increase the max cap

1) They where a long hard quest.
2) It took forever to lvl to use them unless you where already that lvl.
3) It didn't change or mess with the PVP system at all.
4) They worked great for killing mobs; everyone loved hunting 15 with their Chalis.
The first nail into the coffin of EA was Booster. Thats because they made it easy to lvl, easy to get armor, and even easier to get weapons, a lot of oldies got ****ed. We had just spent a long time lvling and getting our 14 16 guns and then over night all that work was for nothing. People also didnt like the fact that a lvl 10 or 11 Wave Snipe could pwn a Netty or Chalis before the Netty or Chalis could get a shot off.
But I am willing to bet Jason knows this and will definitely not use 'Booster' lvling rates unless he jacks the cap up to like 30 or 40.
They said they are going to be useing the 'Gold' channel method, and are doing a lot of 'Goldish' things, so I bet whatever is in store for us is going to kick 'Golds' ass and be a all around better game.
