Steak- how do you like it?
Was thinking of spending a little money on hubby by getting some steaks for his birhtday(his favorite food) and i got to thinking of how he likes his cooked.
Well, it got me wondering how many folks like their steaks like mine or like his. Then I thought, well I might offend the vegans so I'll give them an option as well.
Just kind of curious.

Well done, just barely blackened here and there, with some salt, and a nice coat of A1 sauce. For some reason, home cooked steaks taste better. I prefer it with almost no fat. Thin lines of fat between the meat is good, but a big NO to anything more than that.
Ooh I'm getting hungry...

Lol Mel, you sound like my brother. He likes it dark on the outside and purple/bleeding on the inside.
Personally I like it medium to medium well. A little pink but not red/purple. Granted I don't really like red meat much to begin with anyway.

Ahh I forgot the baked potato+sour cream. Not sure why I'm the only one who prefers fully cooked to anything else...

medium-well for me, if it is bleeding or looks like it might bleed I wont eat it.
That was the same before I had food poisoning.
Oh and there is a difference between vegan and vegetarian so you might need another option lol vegetarians and vegans have like a blood feud or something

Hmmm Good point. Will do the very best I can to clarify.
Hubby likes his steak just about burnt - well well well done. (Which is kind of funny, and here is why) I like mine rare. Barely brown on the outside, nice and red in the middle.
Now this is funny because back when we both were working on the ambulance, we happened to take a long trip that required we eat out. Well of course if the company was buying, we're eating steak. We place our orders and have a seat. His comes and the thing looks like something they used to keep the fire going. Black charcoal just all over it. Mine comes and he and the driver both start in on "Dear GOD- get some adrenaline and cardiac paddles stat!" Driver: "I think I hear something MOO'ing" This one guy in a suit then turns around looks at the piece of steak on my plate and begins to get sick. --- somehow or another that lead to the guy who would be my future hubby asking me out on a date.
A nice salad with some good dinner rolls, a very tall glass of sweet iced tea to go with a decent baked sweet potato covered with butter and cinnamon -- I'm a happy little woman.

And anything chocolate for dessert!!!
